EMCI is located just 15 minutes from downtown Kansas City in the fast-growing city of Grain Valley.

Founded in 1978, the area near Grain Valley was originally home to the Osage indians, and eventually Fort Osage. During the Civil War, this area was extremely active as the Missouri legislature voted to remain with the Union.

After the war, the city began its first housing development, and today it's one of the fastest growing communities in Missouri.
